Treatment Approach
I like to approach treatment with a focus on person-centered and strength based care. What this means to me is that at the core of everything we are all just people navigating life and sometimes the best way to support someone is first connecting with them on a person to person level. I also find that as people we may be quick to minimize our strengths so I enjoy helping individuals explore and sometimes strengthen these pieces of themselves.
My sessions often have a primary focus on using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) strategies to help individuals see how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and what we can do to achieve change in these areas.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) techniques and enjoy integrating these tools into sessions. I offer a blend of other different strategies and interventions as well to support individuals with identifying what works and doesn't work for them in treatment. My goal is to provide a personalized approach that helps individuals achieve their desired outcomes.
